CONTEMPT OF COURT.
NEWSPAPERS FINED. Press Association—By Tel. —Copyright. Received 9.30 p.m. Nov. 18th. SYDNEY, Nov. 18. The Full Court adjudged the "Daily Telegraph," and "Evening News" guilty of contempt of Court in publishing what purported to be a confession by Senkovich, who is at present conlined at Darlington on a charge of murdering Esmond at Bourke. The Chief Justice, in delivering judgment, expressed the opinion that the alleged confessions were calculated to' prejudice Sonkovicli in the eyes of the public from whom a jury to try him would be chosen. Justices Cohen and Street concurred. Each paper was fined . £IOO and costs. Similar proceedings instituted against the "Sunday Times" and "Melbourne Age" were abandoned.
