Lord Kitchener, presiding at the Town Planning Conference, referred to the wonderful reconstruction of Khartoum. He said that he had heard much of Australia's Federal capital. He had visited the srtendid cities of Sydney and Melbourne, and rather regretted that it was necessary for him to find another abode. The Commonwealth Parliamentary capital should start with a great advantage. IT© hoped tiiat it- would afford an example of the principles which the Conference vras advocating.
