Mrs' Wtt-t.ua'joU, of Gleuavy, came up t-o town this week and stayed at "Ettrick Bank." Mr and Mrs E. J. LeOren hare taken a house ou Maori Hill, and will take up residence very shortly. Her little daughter was daintily froeked in white lace, rose pink sash. Miss Simnson, lovelv rose pink gown; Miss E. M. Auld, ' amythost tailored suit, large hat en suite; Mrs C. E. Thomas, dark blue tailored suit, very pretty blue toque, with emerald green crown ; Mrs Nalder, black and white gown, white hat with pink roses; Mrs Alex. Grant, dark blue tailored suit, black picture hat: Miss Priest, mole tailored •suit, wide black hat; Mrs Beckingham, trained gown of black chiffon taffeta trimmed with lace: Mrs W. Hole, rose pink tailored gown beautifully braided, and white lace vest: Miss Glen. Beckingham, tan linen frock hat en suite; Mrs George Bowkor, violet cloth costume, black picture hat; Mrs Gordon Wood, black eollienne with jetted trimming; Miss Wood, blue linen frock: Mrs Hassell, brown tailored gown; Mrs, H-cnnie, white embroidered muslin. At St. Mary's last Wednesday, the marriage was solemnised of Miss Evelyn Rosia Lawry, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. M. Lowry, Alexandra Street, and Mr Alfred Edward Templeton. of Portobello, Dunediu. Aliiss ■Bertha Lawry and Mi-,3 Given, Templeton acted as bridesmaids, whilst Mr Hodgson, of Dnnedin, acted as bestman, and Mr Anderson as groomsman. The Rev. Trcrice Adams officiated. The hride wore a lovely trained gown of white silk, beautifully trimmed with lace and orange blossoms. An embroidered tulle veil was worn, surmounted with a wreath of orange blossoms. The toilet was completed with a shower bouquet of white banksia roses. Miss Bertha Lawry wore a dainty frock of white silk inserted with lace, and large saxe blue hat wreathed with roses. Miss Given, Templeton (the small bridesmaid), was daintily trucked in white lace with blue sash and saxe blue hat. Mrs Lawry (mother of the bride), wore a black silk voil gown with deep yolk of cream lace, black picture hat; Miss Lowry, rose pink shantung,, trimmed with cream lace. large tuscan hattrimmed with rose pink and green foliage: Miss Lowry. white embroidered muslin robe, larsre white picture hat. Mr and Mrs Templeton left for Christehurch by the second express, the latter wearing a dark blue travelling gown, and large rose pink hat. After the ceremony at tho church, Mr and Mrs Lawry entertained about | torty gnosis to a sur.iiituou-. wedding [ luncheon in Sophia. Hall, and in the ic-ver-ing gavo a delightful dance.
