WHISKY BATHS.
MR ROCEFELLER'S NEW TREATMENT. Residents of Cleveland, Ohio, who live near the magnificent estate of Mr John D. Rockfeller. have much _been shocked since the recent return of the "richest man in the world'-' from the East to seo the frequent deliveries of eases unmistakably containing whisky, plainly marked with his name, (writes a correspondent of the "Daily Mail.") Mr Rookfeller. who as well as the richest is the most bitterly assailed of Americans, has been a teetotaller all his life. He has always been active in church work, and is most abstemious in all Tespects. Only yesterday he addressed a local Sunday school on "The Blessings of Forgiveness." Mr Rockfeller who is now seventyone years of age, having retired from his post as active business head of the Standard Oil Trust several years ago, spends most of his time, in suitable weather, playing golf. TTis physicians found recently that his vitality was often lowered after n day spent in this way. and ordered him to take whisky baths. The mystification of the Cleveland folk was disociled when this explanation was made to-day by members of Mr Bock feller's household. The doctors have caused another change in Mr Rorkfcllor's habits. His custom had been to rise about nine o'clock: now he his up at five. Tho wlrsky bath comes first on the day's programme. After that he reads the newsnnpers. breakfasts, and then starts f"r the links, where he now proves to be a. more vigorous opponent than he had been of Tecent Years.
