The annual meeting of tho Timaru Power and Sailing Boat Club will bo held to-morrow evening at the Excelsior Hotel. The question of holding a. regatta is to Ivo considered. The secretary to the Canterbury A. and I'. Association advertises that entries for the Christchurch Show close on the 2'Jikls inst. Mr "W. Harford of Waimnto, had a nicelv-arrangod wedding breakfast laid in the Sophia. Street, Hall yesterday morning, in the centre of well-decorat-ed tables being a live tier wedding cake. Owing to the inclement, slate of the weather last evening the South Canterbury Battalion Band was uualilo to give the concert advertise:!; I,ill, weather permitting the band will give its performance on Friday evening, commencing at 8 p.m. Messrs C, J-pmis and Co. advertise that their auction rooms will bo closed this day. but iU bo open to-morrow (Friday).
The Salvation Army give a liniriicipar concert in Alexandra Square rotunda this evening. |Rlu> programme is ad--ajtified.
