The fortnightly sitting of the AYainiate Magistrate's Court was held yesterday, before Mr T. Hutchison. S.M. Judgment went by default in the following casesM. Smith v. J. J. Kavanagh, £2 7s lid, costs 10s; McDonald and Ellen v. F. Lane, £3 15s, costs lis; same v. Alfred .Jackson, £1 V"s 6d, costs 7s; G. S. Meredith and Co. v. H. B. Forster, £1 6s lOd, costs os. _ Mr Dolamore appeared for plaintiff in the first three_ cases, and Mr Perry in the last mentioned. Several cases were adjourned to next Court day. The" whole sitting was over in about seven minutes.
