CRICKET.
AT WINCHESTER. Two cricket matches -were played on the Winchester Damain on Saturday. In the menis game Temuka beat Winchester rather easily, the bowling of Keen (who got the whole ten wickets) and the fine batting of Dunn and Can trill bing the chief causes- of Temuka's success. The scores were:— Winchester 53 (Deßenzv 14, Kalauglier 10 and Opie 7). Temuka 131 (Dunn 30 retired, Cant-rill 2S retired, Pullemo 19, retired, L,. Twomev 18). In the boys' game Winchester defeated Geraldine by 45 runs. Scores—Winchester 132 (W. El-som 5S retired, Scott 24, A. Young 14). Geraldine 87 (Logan 24, G. Campbell 21). Afternon tea was provided for both cricket matches by the ladies of the Tenuis Club.
