Two gentlemen acting as mediators submitted their case, and after a discussion it was decided not to accept the terms proposed, but to await the decision of the Wages Board. It is stated that a number of the strikers are going to New Zealand. The Industrial Court refused the application of Jlr White, secretary of the Meat Racking Employees' Union, for leave to prosecute the indoor manager of the Sydney Meat Preserving Company for alleged breach of the Act ia dismissing the applicant without reasonable cause. The Court decided that a prima facie case had not been established. A FACTORY STRIKE. Owing to the dismissal of a youth, I fifty others employed at Leigh's canister factory left work, and negotiations failed to bring them back.
