The game was characterised by accurate driving but Miss Collins was tho strongest At tin: start Miss Ash well drove and lilt a, willow stump and the ball buomc ranged back. Miss Collins got in a good drive. Miss Ashwell made a good drive with her second shot but Miss Colluus foozled hers. Miss Asliwell's next shot was a, fair one, but her fourth was bad. Miss Collins was just short of the green with Jut third, and with her fourth she {jot well on to the green and went out in G to 7. The succeeding boles were scored as follows :—2, Miss Collins got into the creek twice and Have up the hole; 3 "was halved; 4, Miss Collins won 4 to 5; 5, Miss Collins G to 8, Miss Ashwoll getting into a lake; (J was halved, Miss Collins driving over the green, Miss Ashwell just oji it. 7, won by Miss Collins, 0 to 7 ; 8, Miss Ashwell won in two, Miss Collins driving short of a. bunker, and getting into a hole in her approach; !>. was halved; (Miss Collins was thus 2 vp at the turn); JO was halved in G; in 11 Miss Collins bunkered, and Miss Ashwell won the hole, 3 to G; at 12 Miss Ashwell drove past the green, aud Miss Collins out of bounds, but on to the green at the next stroke, Miss Ashwell winning by 4 to 5; 13 was wen by Miss Collins in 5 to 7, Miss Ashwell driving out of bounds; at 14 Miss Ashwell gave up the hole, getting twice into a ditch; ]u wa.s won by Miss Collins in 7 to 8; 10 was halved in G, aud Miss Collins won by 3 up aud 2 to play. The driving competition was won by Miss Christie (IG9 yards), Miss Ashwell (IG7 yards being second, and Mrs Utickley (IGS yards) third. The number of competitors was legion in the approaching and putting competition. 'J'wo balls had to be played, one over a. bunker. This competition was won by Miss D. Anderson in fi, but nine competitors tied for second place with G each, and the second prize will be played for by these to-morrow. The competitors coming second were— Miss Knubloy, Mrs Inncss, Miss Theomiii, Mrs Warne, Miss Collins, Mrs Lewis, Miss Wilson, Mrs Handysides, and Miss G. Gorrie. The final of the senior cVampionship between F. Barker (last year's winner) and A. L. Marshall, will be played on Thursday next; and in nil probability the. junior championship between H. Randrupp and J. Templar will also bo played on that day.
