Mr Moore, speaking at Escourt, explained that he had joined the Union Cabinet because Mr Botha was the onlypossible Premier. He enjoyed the confidence of tho whites and had been Xatal's best friend in tho convention. Mr Moore advocated total liquor prohibition for natives, and witholding the franchise from. them. Experience was leading him to oppose its extension to them. He added that the Government would not allow Indians to over-run South 'Africa.
