Has he not advocated closer settlement ■ as a panacea for all the natural draw- '• backs and heavy losses incidental to such country, and now be would have us believe that when he actually recommended the letting of certain*runs m larger areas than did either of his .colleagues on the official Commission, there are nineteen abandoned homesteads on eleven runs.
