Replying to the Vancouver Board of Trade, asking for a higher tariff, particularly on lumber. Sir Wilfrid Laurior said he felt confident that the Minister of Finance can frame a moderate tariff, which may be in the nature of a compromimse, but fairly satisfactory to the whole community.
