COMMERCIAL.
TEMUKA SALE. The yarding forward for this sale, /tuYTi ivas held yesterday, was rather larger than usual, about 2800 sheep and 60 head of cattle being penned. Competition for fat stock and young ewes was very good, while for hoggets and aged sheep the demand was not quite up to that of late sales. Prices ruled as follows: —Fat wethers (medium, weights) 16s 7d,, 16s 9d, ITs fkl to 18s 4d. fat owes 13s, 17s lid, to 18s sd, 6 and 8-tooth ewes lGs Id, l.Gs yd to 21s, 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes to 19s 3d, sound-mouth ewes to 14s 9d. aged ewes 7s Ckl to 8s 4<l, ewe hoggets to 15s 6d, wether hoggets to 12s 4tl. Cattle.—Fat steers £7, £7 l'2s Gd, £8 15s to £lO 10s, fat heifers £5 lis, £6 12s Cd to £7 10s, milch cows (springing and in profit) £3 10s, £5, to £7 10s. Pigs sold at late rates.
