At the Police Court, Alfred James Lindsay was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of John Lewis Sheard. who sustained fatal lupines as a result of a fnll in Wellington street on Mondav night. Lindsaystated at the inquest that he took his (bi,;l from the deceased, but denied having used unneeessarv force.
