FIND OF ENDOWMENT.
! SUPREME COURT CASE. I Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 13. The matter of the claim being mad* by the Auckland Education Board against the Public Trustee for a recently unearthed endowment worth about a quarter o; a million pounds was mentioned iu Chambers before Mr Justice Edwards this morning. -Mr MeViegh stated that the Solici-tor-General was appearing oh behalf of the Public Trustee and it was asked that the case he set down for hearing on Friday. 2Gth inst. His Honour: ''How long will the rase last?" Mr McVeigh thought the argument would at least occupy a couple of days. Mr Parr mentioned that the dispute was over an endowment worth a quarter of a million.
His Honour: '1 hope the talk won't be in proportion to the amount involved."
It was decided to fix the case for either the 25th or 26th. to" suit the convenience of the Solicitor-General i* coming up to Auckland.
