FREE RIDES AT BLACKPOOL. A system of free llights has been inaugurated at Blackpool, one out of every 500 who pay at the gate being entitled to a flight with Air Grahame White. HON. A. BOYLE RECOVERING. Tlie Hon. Alan Boyle, who was severely injure.! by a fall from an aeroplane at Bournemouth, is slowly improving. He has not yet regained his memory, but it is hoped he will he sufficiently recovered to be removed to Scotland within a month.

Mr Drexel, who ascemit u .n an aeroplane in Lanark to a world's record height of G7;jo feet, said in an interview that while climbing on a breeze among the clouds his limbs became increasingly colder and in the last 350 iect were benumbed. The rarefaction of the air caused the engine to spit. A greater altitude was impossible. His descent was of the .-wiftr-st, being made approximately in four minutes.
