The proprietors of the Saxon Dairy Company A. H. Mackrell and are notifying their clients that during the montii of July, they are prepared to give 13d per lb for butter tat, which probably constitutes a record price tor South Canterbury. A change in the management of th« Uallingford Hotel is being made, Messrs Charles and Andrew McKuy remaining in Temuka, while Messrs D. and J. McKay proceed to Dunediu, to take over the Metropolitan Hotel, Maclaggan street, the lease of which they have purchased.

The Temuka Veterans Rifle Club have received a challenge from the Nurrogin BiHe Club (West Australia) and have accepted the challenge. Each party will fire on their own range, the conditions being eeven shots at 200 yards and 500 yards. Captain Chap, man of the Temuka Rifles will act as umpire for the Narrogin Club, and "the Rer. F. Davis, of the Church of England Narrogm, will supervise for the Temuka Veterans Club.
