The retiring Members are eligible for reelection. HTE MATTER OF A BILL intituled •' An Act to authorise and empower the Oaniaru Harbour Hoard to effect a • Compromise with the holders of Debentures ! issued under the provisions of '•The Omn.-iru Harbour Hoard Oiflinanie Amendment Act 187S" and "The Harbours Act IS7S" and to i-jiise a LOAN' for the purpose of carrying into effect the said Compromise and for the purpose of redeeming all other Loans of tho baid Board.

To authorise the Board to raise a loan of £225,000 for the following purooses namely, (a) To carry into effect the said agreement and nay all moneys and interest payable thereunder and (b) To enable the Board to redeem all its other loans. To empower the Board to make and levy as part of the securitv for the said loan of £225,000 and the interest sinking fund and other annual charges pavable in respect thereof an annually ;e----curring special rate not exceeding seven-twelfths of a penny ; n the £ on all rateable property in the Oamaru Harbour District.. 4.
