A correspondent writes the following notes on the senior men's match, which was played last week between Geraidinc and 'j'cstit;Ua :

A iivst- and willing game was witnessed between the 'J'emtika- and (JcraldiiiL' seniors last week, and the game was played in a friendly manner throughout, result 2 goals each. The shooting <>i' the Gerald me forwards was very erratic, eight shots out of ten going a little wide of the posts, and no less than three of tlie.-e were lifted right over the cress bar. Corner hits seemed to be the order of the day, Teninka having no le-s than live give » against them ill tile last quarter of an hour.

The Temuka backs played a letter game all round than these ot Geraldine, their bard hitting being much in evidence.

A. Bennington and 11. Haugheii. who last year played for Geraldinc I! team, were given a trial in the senior team last week and tilled, their -places creditably. Jsoth of these men will develop into useful players.
