THE PAWELKA CASES.
JURY DISAGREE. Per. Press Association. PALMERSTON N.. June 2. The case of alleged robbery under arms against Pawelka> was "heard today. Evidence was given by the Kendalls who recognised Pawelka ns their assailant. Accused was the only witness in defence and confined himself to saying that he was not there and knew nothing of the occurrence. The defence was practically an attempt to cfisfc a doubt on the truth of the Kendalls' story. The jury after five 'hours' retirement disagreed and a new trial is called for Monday l .
