EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE.

SOUTH CANTERBURY BRANCH. The monthly meeting or the South Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute was held in the Technical School en Sat-urday morning, Mr G. Dalglish presiding over an attendance of about hve-and-twenty members. Before proceeding with business, on the motion of the. chairman, a it-solu-tion was passed expressing the branch's sincere regret at the death of King Edward VII., and its sympathy with the bereaved.

Mr Ritchings Grant, Technical Director, intimated that the Arts and Crafts exhibition would be opened this week, and that school children, in charge of a teacher would be admitted fit a reduced fee.
