GERALDINE SALE. | Tlie usual fortnightly sals was held at Geraldiuo yards yesterday. The yarding was sin exceptionally lieavy oiie, tno larg.st proportion of which was flit stock, tlie balance store lambs and breeding ewes. Competition throughout was very good, enabling almost a complete clearance. Prices were as follows: —Fat ewes, 9s, 9s Od, 9s Bd, 9s 9d, 10s, 10.5 2d, 10s fid, 10s 6d to lis; fat wethers 14s Id, las to 16s; fat lambs 13s Id, 13s sd, 13s 6d, 13s Bd, 13s 9d, 1.45, 14s Id, 14s 4d, 14s 6d 14s Bd, 14s 9d to 14s lOd; forward lambs lis, lis 2d, lis (3d, lis 9d, lis lOd, 12s, 12s Id to 12s 2d; store lambs Bs, 8s od, Ss 6d, 8s 9d, 9s, 9s 6d to 10s 3d; cull lambs 4s G"i, 4VTd to Gs 6d; f.m. ewes 8s 9d, 9s Gel, 10s 6d to lis; two tooth ewes (small) to 13s 8d; aged ewes 3s, 4s 6d to 5s 6d. There was a very good demand. BUIINSIDE STOCK SALES. DTJNEDIN, March 9. _ Cattle—l 37 were yarded. '• Competition was keen and prices considerably firmer than last week. The best price obtained for prime bullocks was. £ll 2s Gd, medium to good £8 17s Gd to £9 7s, inferior £7 2s 6d to £8 10s, heifers £4 10s to £5 ss. Sheep.—lßßs were penned. The quality with the exception of a fewodd pens of prime wethers was medium. Prices for good wethers showed a firmer tendency than last week, but for inferior they were not so good. Extra prime wethers to 17s 9d, good 15s to lbs, medium 13s (id to 14s 6d, and inienor 12s to 13s, best ewes lis Gd to 13s,_ and inferior 8s to 10s. Lambs— MSI were yarded. The quality was interior to last week. Prices for well finished of good quality were e.qual to last week's, but unfinished and lighter sorts were a little easier.
