TEMUKA—TUESDAY, MARCH Bth. (Before Mr V. G. Day, S.M.) POLICE CASES. John Slate was,charged with having, on the ■ 22ud. February, while the subject of £ prohibition order, procured liquor from John Davis, eo.ntrary to t-he form of tile statute. Accused pleaded not guilty and the offence being proved by the police he wns fined £o or in default one month. George liamsay was brought up on four charges, witli procuring liquor, counselling another and drunkenness; he pleaded guilty to drunkenness, but not, guilty on three other charges. (Mr Aspinall appeared for accused.) After hearing evidence the Bench convicted and discharged accused. Thomas Cavruth was charged with procuring liquor while prohibited. He pleaded guilty, and was fined 20s and costs 7s. A charge* against a young man of assaulting another was dismissed. CIVIL CASES. IX M. Rodgers v. John Webb, claim £1 Cs 6d on judgment summons. Order made for payment forthwith; in default one week's imprisonment. A. Outhbert v. Geo. Williams, claim lis Gd, adjourned to 22nd March.
