On the suggestion of Mr J. Davidson it was agreed that an allowance of 31bs be given to lambs competing in the fat classes when the weather immediately preceding the show has been wet. It was pointed out by Mr. Davidson that fat lambs just touching the weight limit might be disqualified by a few pounds of moisture taken in by the fleece should a day's rain occur ju6t before the show. An allowance for wet sheep should therefore bo made. A Ground Committee, consisting of Messrs J. Trotter, F. R. Gillingham and J. Goodwin, was appointed. Mr V. Gillingham reported that the "grass"oh the new show grounds had taken fairly well in spite of the scorching weather in January. The turnips were patchy, but of fair size. It was agreed not to take any action towards letting the grazing till nest month. Messrs*Doull, Keenan and A. S. Smith promised a sheep each for the weight-guessing competition. A large number of new members' were elected, the majority of them be-'' ing nominated by Mr. W. Bray.
