ACCIDENTS.
SUDDEN DEATH. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Feb. 28. at. '• Henderson, secretary for the Waikato bacon factory, and "for a number of years manager at various branches of the Bank of New Zealand, fell dead off his bicycle on Frankton Road on Saturday. Heart disease was the cause of death. He was 69 years of age. SERIOUS COLLISION. WANGANUI, Feb. 38. As the result of a collision between a tram and a motor car to-night Dr Porretb received nasty external injuries to his head and a severe shaking. His son escaped, but Miss Linewar (who was also in the car), received scalp wounds and was taken to the hospital. D r Porrett was removed to nis own home. FATAL COLLISION. „ w FEILBING, Feb. 28. Mr W. A. Sandilands. one of the oldest solicitors here, an ex-Mayor and a member of several local institutions, while cycling on Saturday night in Manchester street, collided with a brother cyclist. He was picked up unconscious, and died, at 7 o'clock tonight without recovering consciousness. On Sunday last, Mrs J. Turner, of Geraldine, met with an accident which narrowly missed being serious. She was out driving when the seat of the trap slipped, and she was thrown on to the roadway, but escaped with a severe shaking.
