COMMERCIAL.
ALBURY STOCK SALE. The ordinary monthly sale was held at Albury yards yesterday, when about 9500 sheep were yarded. The hulk of the yarding was made up of lambs, the balance being ewes. The demand for all classes ei stock was very good, resulting hi almost a, total clearance. Fat lambs sold as follows—l3s 2d, 13s sd, 13s 6d, 14s, 14s 2d, 14s Gd to 14s KM; fat ewes 9s to 10s 6d; fat wethers to ICs; store iambs 9s Id, 9s 6d, 9s lOd, 10s, 10s Id, 10s 3d, 10s 4d, 10s 6d, 10s 8d to 10s 9d; cull lambs 4s 6d to 7s 6d; store wethers 10s Id to. 12s 3d: two tooth ewes 13s (id, 14s 14, 16s to 16s Id; two and four tooth ewes 15s; four tooth ewes los; six tooth ewes 14s Id to 18s 8d; six and eight tooth ewes 12s lOd to 14s 9d; full mouth do., 8s 5d to 10s; merino wethers 6a 7d. TROTTING HORSES. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Limited, report holding a sale of trotting horses, at TatterEall's yards on Saturday on account of Mr H. E. Mann, who is leaving for Sydney. There was a very large attendance of buyers and others interested present, and competition was very keen. The stock was shown in excellent condition, and the following , is the result of tho sale: —Bav mare Mar-maid, with filly foal at foot, by Red Rothschild, and served by Black Ribbon, Mr J. A. Duncan at' .SCsns. Yearling colt, by Red Rothschild, dam Mermaid, Mr W. Quirk, at SOgns. Two-year-old colt, by Mambrino King, dam Mermaid, full brother to King Lynn; for this colt the- vendor exorcised his right to make one bid of 100gns. Negotiations are now pending, and we hope to be able to report a sale of this fine colt in the next issue of the paper.
