The wheat markets are flat and little business is passing. There is no speculation ajid no immediate prospect of any improvement. The weekly shipments exceed consumptive requirements. Thirty-nine shillings and sixpence is asked for Australian steamer parcels February-March shipment, 39s 3d per sailers December-January; 39s Ja.nuary-Febniary-Mareh and 38s Gd steamer parcels February-March shipments. There is little inquiry for Australian on spot at 435. Oats are steady; New Zealand are unchanged; Laplata March-April shipment 14s 6d. Butter, Danish 124s to 1265. The Omrah's consignment was quickly cleared at about Is above last week's prices. Holders are very strong and are asking 118s to 120s for next week's choicest Australian and 116s for secondary. New Zealand choicest 1225, secondary 118s. No increase in European supplies is expected before Easter. Cheese is dull; New Zealand 58s to Sugar, German, 13s lid; first marks, los lid. The Bradford wool market is firm, and all sorts show a hardening tendency.
