The Senate carried an amendment to the Defence Bill,, that persons forbidden by their religion should be exempt, as far as possible, from other than non-combatants' duties. Tho House of Bepresentatives pawed the Naval Loan Bill. They red icel tho rato of interest from 3.1 to 3 p: i cent., and fixed tho period of redemption at 20 years, 5 per centum < f tho total loan to be paid into the sinking fund.
CHINAMAN FOUND MURDERED. Received 10..">0 p.m., Dec 3rd. SYDNEY, Dec 3. A Chinaman with his head terribly battered was found dead in a hut at Glen Tunes. It is supposed that he was murdered by another Chinaman with whom he had quarrelled.
