WAIMATE NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Waimato A. and V. Association's Committee was held on Saturday afternoon., Mr J. Bitchencr in the chair. Accounts for isiitii were passed. Several recommendations dealing with tho allow were iiiii.ii? for tin; incoinu.g committee's consideration. Five new members were elected and it was decided to pay prize money next Wednesday and Saturday. Some discussion took place as to what points were to be allowed for the president's prize for most points in all classes, and it was decided that points gained by members their wives and children under -I, should all count. The Waimate Library Committee met on Friday night, Mr C. E. Brem-ne-r presiding. The librarian reported one new member and was granted leave of absence for a fortnight, on full pay: if extra leave is required a substitute to be paid by the librarian. Accounts for £9 3s lOd were passed. A sale of work was held in the i.r-.-ade Waimate, on Saturday by tho St-. Augustine's Ladies' Guild. The .'oods were artistically arranged and the "gipsy" and other attractions were provided.
