IMPERIAL POLITICS
THE NEXT ELECTION. P Aisociation-By Tebgraph-Copyrighi Received 5.5 p.m., Nov. 14th. ; LONDON, Not. 13. . The "Daily . Mail" says that Mr Redmond insists on a definite pledge of Homo Kuie' from Mr Asquith at next election, otherwise the Nationalist vote in Britain and Irelimd will be given against the Liberals. The "Spectator," forecasting the election, is inclined to predict a small majority either way, lint possibly a Unionist advantage. LORD BRASSEY'S VIEWS. Lord Brassey in a letter to the Liberal Association, states that he remains constant to the Liberal party; that lie does not regard the proposals of the Budget as socialistic, and adds that all the alarm has been created by speeches of an unusual character. THE PERKS SENSATION. Mr Perks' attitude towards the Government is strongly resented as partisan. Through the Press Mr Perks vigorously replied, alleging that Mr Lloyd George and Mr Churcliill would willingly buy the support of the Nationalists and labour members with Home Rule -and further communistic measures, and the result woidd be chaos. He was opposed t-o tacking the land clauses of the Valuation Bill to the Budget.
