The wheat markets are firm upon stronger American advices, and rumours of frost in the Argentine; Australian landed, 42s Gd to 43s Gd; sailers (October shipment), 41s: new crop, December-January shipment 38s; February shipments, 37s 6d; FebruaryMarch shipment, 37s 2«d; parcels De-cember-January shipment, ,38s. There' is a strong demand for best butters; unsaltod, 112s to 114s, and occasionally 116s; salted, 116s to 118s; secondaries, 106s to 110s. Tho Paparoa's is being landed at USs; Danish, 130s to 1325. The Bradford wool market is dull. Top-maker shave advanced present and future quotations a farthing, but business is limited. MANCHESTER. CANAL TRADE. Received 5.5 p.m., Nov. ].4fch. The Manchester Association of Importers and Exporters has addressed the Chambers of Commerce of Australia, calling .attention to the clauses in the Australian grain charter parties adversely effecting tho Ship Canal and preventing direct shipments. I PRIVATE ADVICES. Dalgety and Co. have handed us the following copies of cables received: — "London 10th —Since our last telegram prices of all 6orts of tallow are unchanged. There is a strong demand for best descriptions of beef and mutton tallow." London 11th—"Tho market for frozen mutton, lamb and beef is firm. Fair demand for N.Z. lamb and beef, and limited demand for N.Z. mutton. Tho Canerburv Farmers' Co-Opera-tive Association report on the horse market at Tattersall's Yards on Saturday, as follows:—The yarding comprised eighteen draught, light harness, and hackney horses. Draughts were slow of sale, but there was a very fair demand for light harness sorts. Quotations are as follows:—Draughts, youn<r, with trials. £33 to £3o; ditto lighC and aged, £9 to £11; light harness'horses £l6 to £25. There were no hacks offering. • . . -
