INVENTIONS THAT ARE NEEDED.
Henry Hughes, (A. K. Holdship) International Patent Agent, Christchurch, reports tho following inventions are needed. .Means for rendering a hydraulic ram more efficient. Any new toys or games, the more ridiculous are often the most successful. Improvements of any sort in farming implements, such as cultivators, scarifiers, seed sowers, hay rakes, et<:.; labour saving tools of all kinds. Means for obviating the metallic twang in phonograph reproductions. An attachment of riiles for the purpose of improving the shooting would take on all over the world. Means for preventing boilers from fouling Electrical appliances of alt kinds. Ah improved automatic railway coupling. An improved filter for attaching to a tap. Handy appliance for cleaning ships afloat. Suitable household requisites ,such as window cleaners, stove gloves, polishing paste, cookers, wringers, and a hundred and one other things that are used in the homo. A simultaneous automatic fire alarm for largo hotels, etc. Means for stopping a runaway horso. In tyres for vehicles an improvement is needed to render the tyres puncture-proof and stiffer, without interfering too much with the resiliency. Novel methods and means of advertising. A combined filter and water cooler. Improvements generally relating to windows. These are a few of the improvements called for, and it is impossible for us to enumerate everything that is needed. But wo can say that there are hundreds of slight improvements wanted in machines in every-day use, that will pay the inventor well.
