THE TRANCE TRAGEDY. Press Association-By Telegraph-Copyright NEW YORK, Nov. 11. Everton, a music hall hypnotist, who was responsible for tho death of a man named Simpson, frantically assured the doctors who made a post mortem examination of Simpson, that the latter was still in a, cataleptic trance. Ho was permitted to go to the mortuary with a numbur of hypnotists and continued his experiments for seveval hours. Finally tho doctors ordered the hypnotists away. The post mortem showed that rupture of the aorta, due to Bvcrstofl " jumping on Simpson's chest, was tho cause of death.
HANGING TO. A..TREE. Per Press Association. WAIROA, Nov 12. / A native reported to. the police, tills morning that ho had found a body hanging to a tree near Opoutaroa in. the Mania district. Ho ,did not go near enough to sec if it was that of a European or a Maori, .but it is alleged .to havo been hanging.for two months. No ono is known to be missing. A constable has been sent to make enquiries.
