Miss Linda Herdman, Miss Mary Kelly and Miss Jessie Mitchell had prominent parts as Major-General Stanley's daughters and acquitted themselves admirably. Their dainty semi-empire frocks of liberty silk wero very pretty and were worn will largo laco hats tied at the side with streamers to match the frock. Mass Herdman wore palo lilac, Miss Kelly, palest green over carnation pink, "and Miss Mitchell wore pale pink. The dark blue and crimson frocks of the chorus girls were very effective and added a touch of colour to the scene. The "Pirates" mess was appropriate for the occasion ?nd Mr \Y. A.
