LOSSES ON FREEZING.. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Oct. 27. The annual meeting of the Waugam;i Company was ]ield today. The report stated that the company last year lost £15,000. It was resolcved to increase the. capital bv the issno of 8000 £5 shares. VOLUNTEER ALARM. The Volunteers were mobilised tonight on a surprise signal being given by cannon. Within half an hour there was a good muster of fully accoutred members of all corns. ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS. WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. In consequence of protests from fire associations, the Council of the New Zealand Rowing Association to-night refused to sanction January Ist as the date for the New Zealand championship regatta at Picton, and suggested Januaiv 22nd. * APPEAL COURT. The Appeal "Court" concluded its sittings to-day. Judgments will be delivered on Monday.
