Jhe Coroner, in holding an inquest on the body of a person who had been shot by a pea rifle, stated that no fewer than thirty-one persons had met their deaths in New Sou til Wales from a similar cause last year. Hazel Foley, aged 9 years, was killed this afternoon by a window sash dropping on her neck. The girl with her sister was playing in the garden of Mrs Marshall, a neighbour, with the Marshall children when their mother went out at 4 o'clock, locking up the house. When she returned at 5.40 ?hc found Hazel with her head through the window frame, the outside sash restin'": on her neck. ' The window had ''"en left pronoed oi>en with a stick.
