THE FISHING SEASON.

The same remarks as to quality apply to the budt cane fly rods which are real gems to work with. The guinea fly rod (greenheart) is a nice rod for anglers who prefer tho greenheart to the cane. The reels consist of the new Silex with jewelled bearings and adjustable checks; the Perfect ball-bearing reel which can be taken to pieces in half a minute with :i coin of the realm; the Uniqua is a fine up-to-date fly reel (contracted winding) and the gun metal reel which this firm has been making for years cannot be worn out. The lines are of the very best Bilk and plaited, so as not to twist or tangle and are waterproofed by a method known only to Hardy Bros. Hardy's casts are now recognised by experienced anglers ns the very best thing in oasts. Hardy's Wear AVell waders are longer in fhe leg than other waders, and stand a lot of use and are especially suited for heavy work. The sateen is a nice light wader more suitable for fine weather, as it does-not get so heated as the heavier kinds. There is a large asortment of phantoms to suit all rivers: also fly books, gaffs, hroeues, nets and everything that an ancler needs to make the rport pleasant.
