At the tallow sales 1"2"2(5 casks were offered and 1035 sold; fine mutton realised 335, medium 31s; line beef 3*2s 3d, medium 30s. Silver, Is lid 11-16 d per oz. At the wool sales there is spirited competition. All descriptions are firm at the highest level. Tho wheat markets are dull owing to liberal Russian supplies, but the tone is somewhat steadier on iirmcr American advices. New crop, DecemberJanuary shipment, per sailer is offering at 37s Cd, and per steamer 38s to 38s 3d. Some .steamer parcels afloat have been sold at 39s 6d to 40s.
