OPENING CEREMONY. Per Press Association. GORE, Sept. 24. rii« Hon. Mr Buddo to-day opened the Riversdale-Switzcrs railway lino first authorised in IS7B. The first contract was let in ISS3, rails wero laid for two miles in 1000, but one Sundav a gang of plate-layers sent to the locality tore up the rails and sleepers. The railway, which is 14 miles in length will open up good agricultural land and mining areas at an approximate cost of £58,000. The Minister goes north to-morrow.
