At their land sale rooms on Saturday Messrs Guinness and LeCren offered 14 acres situated at Wasbdyke, the property- of Mr Hugh Devine. Ts T o. sale was-made, the property being passed in at £2O per acre. TATTEBSAIiL'S SALE. The Canterbury Fanners' Co-opera-tive Association report on the weekly sale of horses held at Tattcrsall's yards on Saturday as follows:—The entry comprised 36 draught, light harness and hackney horses. For good young draughts fit for present work, and with trials, there was good competition,, and lots changed hands at £"29, £34, £36 to £45. Good business was also done in harness horses and sales were made at £9, £l2 ss, £l6 10s t«> £l7 10s. Hacks were dull of sale prices ranging from £6 to £ll. Cockerels: In spite of a large entry, buyers could not secure the ' quantity required, and prices realised were excellent; prime table 4s 3d to 5s 6d per pair, medium 3s 6d to. 4s 3d. Purcbreds 5s to 9s per pair. Ducks: Good table birds 4s 3d to 5s per pair, purebreds 5s 9d to 7s 6d. Pigs: A medium entry of good sorts met with the usual keen demand; prices realised were: Stores (small), 19s 6d to 22s 6d, good stores 24s to 35sr Produce:. Most lines showed a decided improvement during the week, and some good lines were cleared. Reid at her residence, High street. There was a. large attendance of buyers, and *>very lot met with keen competition.
