; THE GRAIN MARKET. : There is ho chatngo to report in the wheat market for the past weekj and there teems little prospect of much business being dono in the near future. Nosales have taken place, but nominal quotations. by local millers are. 4s. 2d to 4s 3d delivered here. Holders .are not disposed to accept these values, and consequently the market is stagnant. It seems .that now the bulk of tho wheat is in merchants hands, and tho probability is that few transactions of importance will take place until tho advent "of the now .season's grain. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 10. Quietness, continnes to be the most noteworthy feature of the local markets. The ideas of bnyers and sellers regarding wheat values are still at variance, and ,buyers do not appear anxious ■to do much business whilst sellers are asking higher prices than appear ■ to I be warranted. Quotations remain nominal. As regards oats, the market is. if anything, weaker. There is praeti- ■ cally- no husines being done locally, 'and the home market i* dull.
