CONCILIATION COUNCIL. I'er Tress Association. STRATFORD, Sept. 9. As si result of the Conciliation Council presided over by the Commissioner, ]Mr Giles, in connection with' the demands oi the Taranaki Dairy Factory Workers' Union, recommendations , satisfactory to both workers and. employers were adopted unanimously. HARBOUR HOARDS. DUNEDIN, Sept. 9. •At a meeting of tbo Harbour Board to-day reference was made to the question of the painters award, and it was decided "That it be an instruction >to the delegates representing the Board at the Harbour Board's Association to advocate that all .Harbour Boards pay their employees a wage rate not less than the rates fixed by the Arbitration Court for work in similar industries."
