A DRAWN GAME. I'er Press Association'. I.VVERCARGILL, Sept. 1. The first representative hockey match- between angauui and Southland was played here this afternoon, and resulted in a draw (one goal each). About 500 spectators were ' present. The ground was somewhat heavy, and the weather occasionally, ttrizzjy, though not at all unpleasant. The game was largely a, contest; between the Southland forwards and the Wanganui backs. The Southlanders were good in the field, but ineffective in the circle. All ladies' matches are postponed'today owing to the state of the: grounds caused by the rough weather. The men's matches will be played! Secretaries are reminded that entries'"for the six-a-side tournament close with the secretary on Friday evening at 5 o'clock. . The following will represent Timaru against Temuka. B at Temuka to-day: Chappel, Powell, Duff, Stevenson, .-. G. Dobier, Palliser, Crombic, Paton.
