FROZEN MEAT MARKET. Tress Association-By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, August 29. The Frozen Meat Trades Association's Smith-field market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are hased on actual sales of not less than 11)0 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 carcases of beef of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels, fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on the market:— Mutton —Canterbury, light 2jjd, medium 2j;d, heavy 2yd; North Island, best brands 2 9-16(1, ordinary 2yd; Southland, 2.W.1; Australian, heavy 2id: River Plate, light 2.! d. Lamb— Canterbury, light 3.Jd, medium 2id, heavy 2Jd ; North Island, selected 3d, ordinary 2;di; Southland, 3d; Australian, best brands 2Jd, fair quality 2yd, inferior quality 2 l-3d; River Plate, 2id. Beef—New Zealand, fores 2-Jrl, hinds 3yd; Australian, lores hinds 33d. Shares. —Waihi, buyers £0 10s, sellers £0 12s fid; Waihi Junction, buyers 525, Cd, sellers 555. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under date London, August 27th:—"The wool market is very firm, and nriees are rather dearer,' especially for merinos and fine crossbred wools. The rabbitskins sales were fairly animated, and prices were firm without chanrre; 2350 bales were offered, of which 2390 bales were sold."
