BUDGET CRITICISM. Presa Association-By Telegraph-Copyrigtil LONDON, August 29. Mr Walter 'Long .addressed 10,000 Conservatives and Liberal Unionists at Mountain Ash. A resolution condemning the Budget and favouring tariff reform was carried by an overwhelming majority. Mr Runciman, President of the Board of Education, in a speech at Rhye, said.the Budget was a good one, and the Government would introduce one equally as good in 1910. A DUKE'S FORECAST. Received 10.30 p.m., August 30th. LONDON, August 30. The Duke of Devonshire, in addressing the Matlock Unionist League, said that all their forces would shortly be required in one of the biggest political struggles known for a great many years, one striking at the constitution of the country, and one which they must make every preparation to face.
