TOURNEY AT HASTINGS. Per Press Association. : NAPIER, August '.'6. The ladies' hockey tournament was continued to-clay at Hastings. Results: —-Hawke's Bay A beat Hawke's Bay B by 3 goals to 1; Auckland beat Jlorowhenua by 3 ±o nil; Taranaki beat Wellington by 6 to nil; Wangynui and Warirapa, B drew;. Nelson beat Wairarapa A by 2 to 1. The second round of the men's competition was resumed yesterday, alter being postponed i'oi two weeks, duo tu the two representative matches. The two Temuka teams journeyed to Geraldine and played the Graldine A and B teams, whJle Timaru played against Y.M.G.A. on the Athletic grounds. The weather was all that could be desired lor hockey, and the dilierent grounds were in fairly good order. .Most interest was centred in the game between Geraldine A and Temuka A, while Temuka B and Geraldine B were not, without their .supporters. The game between Tiniaru and V.M.C.A. u as a last and open one, and Timaru well deserved their win. Tiniaru v.
