REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. Tin- following players have been selected to represent South Canterbury in the match against Southland on the Athletic grounds on Thursday next. — Goal, Wotton (Y.M.C.A.); three-quar-ters, Wallach (Geraldine), Davies (Temukii); halves, Lagan (Geraldine), Signall (Timaru), Davies (Temuka); forwards, Bennington (Geraldine), Metson (Temuka), Smith (Temuka), Anderson (Geraldine), Chappell (Timaru). Emergencies—Forwards, Mason (To Rangi}; backs, Grange (Timaru). Players who cannot attend, should let the hon. secretary know at once. WIN FOR HAWKE'S BAY. Per Press Association. NAPIER, August 14. The representative hockey match, Wairarapa v. Hawke's Bay, was played on the Recreation ground this afternoon, before a good attendance of spectators. In the first spell Hawke's Bay had much, the best of the play, and scored two goals. Play was much more even in the second half, but Hawke's Bay was able to keep the visitors out, and to add another goal, the local team thus winning by three goals to nil. A DRAWN GAME. WELLINGTON, August 10. The Auckland and Wellington re«resentative hockey teams met yesterday. A good trame resulted in a draw, each side scoring a goal.
