The Cretan Government have boon advised by a meeting of members of the Assembly and other public men that it would be well for them to follow the r.-cominenrtations of the Rowers, . including the permanent removal of the Greek flag from Caiiea fort. .The leaders of the insurrection of IFOO-.lSOr, representing the bulk of the provincial population, strongly opposed the Government's views.
