WAIMATE NOTES.

; The Waimate Harriers liad a fair number present at their weekly run 011 Thursday. Messrs Butcher and .Clear laid a good trail at a,warm pace. The members were afterwards the guests of Mr and Mrs H. Wilson, High, street,; whom the captain thanked for their kind reception and Mrs Wilson responded. Tho team to represent tho club against Zealandia F.C.- was selected, as was the team ,to represent tho. club in the Tiinaru championships, and : tliey had a good trial run. - Tho Waimate .Ladies' Hockey Club had a practice with tho High School Girls on Thursday afternoon in Victoria •Park'. The girls were more up to form throughout and / scored two goals to nil. The St. Patrick's Ladies' Hockey Club had a good practice on their own grounds. '■■■■ TU© • -Waimate- young ladies' provided a very enjoyable dance in the Oddfellows' Hall 011 Thursday night, , and about 70 couple were present. Tho hall Was nicely decorated. . Mrs Hurdley <■> band supplied the music and the supper was provided by the ladies.
