The Canterbury Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association report on the usual ■weekly salo of horses held at Tattersail's yards on Saturday, as follows: There was an entry of 28 head of liorses, mostly draughts, and though tho attendance was good, the sale dragged a little, only "good young sorts meeting with any demand, these changing hands well on a par with late rates. Prices were as follows: — Draughts, good sorts, £3O, £3l to £43; light and aged, £ls to £l6 10s; light harness sorts and cobs, £l2 to £l3 10s; set light harness, £3 10s: lady's saddle, 27s 6d; leading dog, £1; two unbroken sheep dogs, 10s each. BESWICK STREET ROOMS. C. Jonas and Co. report for the week ended July 17th, as follows: — Ponltry.—There "was a fair entry, and prices "for prime classes were fully maintained, while the more inferior ones were hard to quit at any price. Ducks and turkevs were keenly competed for. Produce.—This market is again nominal at lato rates, with the exception of potatoes, which have gone back considerably and sales are small at greatlv reduced prices. Oats are in better"demand, but fowl wheat is slow of sale. Chaff is wanted, as is oafensheaf. There has also been a great run on fruit, more so regarding apples, lemons and oranges. Produce—Potatoes, prime 5s to 6s (and few at tho latter price), Fccond grade 3s to 4s, wheat, whole 12s (id to/13s, broken 9s to lis, screenings 7s to Ss, oats, A grado Bs, seconds 5s (id, carrots 2s 6d, swedes 2s 6d, chaff Is 2d. to Is 3d, oatensheaf 2s 9d, parsnips 3s per sack, hanis Bld to 9ld, bacon 7d to 7£d per lb, eggs Is Id to 3 s 2d per dozen, butter Is to Is Id per lb. Fruit. —Apples lid, prime eating and cooking 2Ad, pears 3d (scarce), Island oranges 7s 6d, South Australian 7s 6d, lemons (Mildura) 14s, South Australian lis to> 12s, ripe bananas 2id green Fiji 8s 6d to 8s 9d, passions 6s, Sydney oranges 5s 6d. On Thursday we held a clearing sale on behalf •of Miss Christie, and cleared everything' afc a satisfactory price.

Leslie O'Callaghan and Co. report. as follows on business during the past week:—Poultry.—A very large entry (240) came forward, and the lot were cleared at full prices; most of the entry were good table birds, and thes<v met with a ready sale. Cockerels, prime 4s 3d to ss, medium 3s 94 to 4s 3d, hens 2s 6d to 3s 9d, ducks 4s to 4s 6d. geese ss, turkey hens (small) 5s 9d. Pigs.A full yarding of weaners and stores came to hand, and met with a good sale; 29 weaners sold at 10s to 21s for some extra good lots, six stores 27s to 33s 6d, one sow 42s 6d. Produce. — Most lines met with a go<td sal'/ during the week. We quote:—Oats were in good demand at Is 8d for good feed lines, oatsheaf chaff 2s 6d, oatstraw (in good demand) lid to Is, sarks extra. 980 sacks selling at this price, prime potatoes 6s to 7s per sack, medium ss. pig 2s to 2s fid. During the week the price, per shipment came back 5s per ton. Sellers are advised to send forward only prime sorts, as blighted lines are unsaleable at any price. Broken wheat 9s 6d to 12s, whole ]2s to 1,4s Isd, onions (is to 8s per sack, swedes 2s, carrots 2s 6d, apples lid to 2ld, eggs, fresh Is 4d, preserved Is 2d, butter Is.
